Jake's Place Restaurant

Went there on a snowmobile plenty of parking fuel just a block away, food and service were great. Had some ice cream and a butter tart excellent

I've loved Jake's place ever since I was a young kid. My parents and grandparents would bring me there every now and again as we'd do our trip to Port. It's changed with new management. But, I can say, that the atmosphere still holds true with that old time feeling of good people and good food. Pricey as it might be.

An absolute Loring staple! A must stop lunch spot if you’re passing through. The place has been the exact same for ages, and that’s what makes it as charming as it is. Thanks Jakes!!

Great little stop on our trip, outside tents and tables, our meal took a little time, but was delicious, the very apologetic waitress heavily discounted the bill to our surprise. Definitely worth a stop.

Update: went back for a second meal, tried the Big Breakfast this time - large delicious portion. Home fries were undercooked, but when I mentioned it, it was rectified right away with a new side of hot, perfectly cooked, potatoes. Will go back again. Went for breakfast while on vacation and will definitely return - yummy french toast, excellent sausages and Hubby said the bacon was terrific. I know it's odd to add in this next part when reviewing food, buuuut, the bathrooms were super duper clean and that's absolutely noteworthy in my books.

We stopped into Jakes when we were out sledding and had a great lunch....other sledders in there and the service was great, food was amazing and the staff was extremely pleasant. Thanks for such a great lunch.

Great place to eat in Port Loring. The waitress was excellent, the food was large portion, hot, and quick. I will eat there again

Jakes hosted our wedding dinner and it was delicious!!!!! The food was a prime rib and a chicken dinner, both were done to perfection. The staff did an awesome job. Everyone was pleased. Thanks for a great evening.
